Privacy policy

1. Who we are
jig is made by Ködel Dynamics, CNPJ 23.808.304/0001-85, of Indaiatuba, São Paulo, Brazil, the controller of the data this policy is about. The person in charge of personal data processing (LGPD, art. 41) is Júlio César Ködel.
For anything about privacy, and for support too, there is one channel: jig@kodel.com.br.
2. The app on your machine
jig is an app that runs on your computer. Without an account, nothing you do in it reaches us.
- What it keeps stays in
~/.jig, on your machine: your preferences, the folders and projects you opened and the board of the projects that live only on this machine. - It talks to the outside only through Git, with the provider of your repository, and with the team service, when you sign in to an account.
- The fonts and scripts come inside the app: opening jig calls no other server.
- No telemetry: the app sends us no usage, errors or statistics.
3. Signing in
The account exists only to work in a team. You sign in with Microsoft, Google, Apple, GitHub or GitLab, and from them we receive:
- the identifier of your account at that provider;
- your name and your e-mail, and whether the provider confirms the e-mail is yours;
- your picture, when there is one.
The token the provider hands us is discarded at once, and jig never gets access to your repository, your e-mail or any other service of yours. With Apple’s “Hide My Email”, we receive the relay address Apple creates, not your e-mail.
4. What we keep, and why
Today the team service keeps:
- your account and the logins linked to it: the provider, the identifier, the name, the e-mail, whether it is confirmed, and the picture, so you can sign in and your team knows who you are;
- the access of each machine you signed in on, only as a hash: the service recognizes the machine without keeping its key;
- a record of each sign-in and of each login linked or unlinked, without the IP address, to protect your account.
The legal basis is the performance of the contract with you; for the record of sign-ins, the legitimate interest in the security of your account.
5. What we never keep
- the code, the pages and the documents of your repositories;
- your Git credentials;
- tokens or the sign-in of your AI agents;
- the tokens of the providers you sign in with;
- the conversations of the sessions with your agent.
6. Who we share with
- Those who run the service for us: Cloudflare, through which the service is reached, and Microsoft Azure, where the backup is kept, in the East US 2 region, in the United States.
- The people of the teams you join, once teams exist: they will see your name, your e-mail and your picture.
Nothing is sold, rented or handed over. There are no ads and no tracking, and this site uses no cookies of its own and no analytics.
7. For how long
- The account, the linked logins, the picture and the record of sign-ins stay while the account exists.
- A machine’s access expires after 30 days without use, and what expired is deleted every hour.
- To delete your account, write to jig@kodel.com.br. Within 15 days, the account, the logins, the picture, the accesses and the record leave the database; they leave the backup in its cycle, of 7 days.
The app has no screen to delete the account yet: the request is by e-mail.
8. Your rights
You have the rights of art. 18 of the LGPD, Brazil’s data protection law, such as knowing whether we process your data, accessing it, correcting it, taking it with you, asking for it to be deleted and knowing whom we share it with. Ask at the same e-mail, jig@kodel.com.br.
9. Security
- The connection to the service is always encrypted.
- Machine accesses are kept only as hashes.
- The service’s secrets stay only on the server.
- The backup is kept off the service’s machine.
10. Changes
When what the service keeps changes, this policy changes first, with the new date at the top.
